Wood wall art. "Strain" by R3
Quite often, the wood grain itself shows proud it's battles for growing and surviving. Differences in between the heartwood and sapwood reveals some of those stories.
"Strain" is a composition made of two thin slices of a scrap piece of flat sawn "Nogal Cafetero" wood and framed in "Flormorado" oak.

As there's not a correct way to expose the work (portrait or landscape, up or down), and thanks to the specially designed frame, the piece can be hung in any direction to help with a personal composition made with other elements or to adapt to room available on the wall.
